Bloody Marys are such a classic cocktail. The zing of V8 juice mixed with some spice, fresh lemon and a vodka kick
Makes me think of brunch. Cocktails in the morning? Count me in!
You can make a pitcher of Bloody Marys for a crowd, but I’ve given the measurement and steps to make them two lovely cocktails at a time
The cast of characters are V8 Tomato Juice, good quality vodka, Worcestershire Sauce, prepared horseradish, hot sauce, seasoned salt, black pepper and last but certainly not least, fresh lemon juice
Why is it called a Bloody Mary?
Legend has it that this cocktail was named a Bloody Mary after Queen Mary Tudor and her bloody reign over England in the 16th century. I’m not quite sure of the validity of this claim, but I am sure that it’s one of my favorite drinks!
All of the ingredients go into a cocktail shaker filled with crushed ice. Shake it baby
Depending upon the size of your shaker, you may need to mix 1/2 at a time
Pour into your glass of choice and garnish with baby celery, a lemon wedge and green olives
Cheers!
