Banana Breakfast Sushi

Bananas and sushi… not a pair you’d generally put together.  Breakfast and sushi… definitely not a pair you’d generally put together!

Well how about all three?? Now we’re starting to make sense!

My kids love to make this healthy breakfast treat with bananas, peanut butter and rice krispies

Pour about a cup of rice krispies into a pie plate

Peel and cut a banana in half and spread peanut butter over the whole outside.  This is a messy job, but my kids don’t seem to mind it

 When the banana is mostly covered, it’s easier to plop it down in the rice krispies and finish spreading on the top

Once completely covered with peanut butter, roll in the Rice Krispies making sure that its totally coated

Repeat with the other half of the banana, slice and serve up with some chopsticks!

1 large banana

1 cup of rice krispies cereal

1/3 cup peanut butter

Directions

  1. great idea! I used to roll my bananas up in a tortillas and cut them up but granola is a much healthier option!
