One Pot Pasta

One Pot Pasta #onepotpasta #pasta #easypasta #easydinner #pastadinner

Such a perfect weeknight meal… I love a dinner I can get on the table in under 30 minutes AND that tastes delicious!

Best part is that you already have the ingredients in your pantry!

This is adapted from a Martha Stewart recipe with, as usual, a few Simply Sundays modifications

You’ll need a 12 ounce box of linguine (or spaghetti), 12 ounces of diced tomatoes with juice, 4 1/2 cups of water, 1 onion and 4 garlic cloves

The herbs and spices we’ll use are red pepper flakes, dried basil, dried oregano, garlic and onion powders, kosher salt and black pepper

Pour the water and can of diced tomatoes with juice into a stockpot.  Add in the bay leaf and herbs and spices.  Give them a quick stir

Thinly slice the onion and garlic cloves and add to the pot

Break the pasta in half and mix all of the ingredients

Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring occasionally with tongs to make sure the pasta doesn’t stick together

Cook for 9 minutes until al dente and the liquid is mostly absorbed

Give a stir and season again with kosher salt and pepper if necessary

Serve with grated parmesan cheese and fresh basil

A delicious dinner your family will love and it’s on the table in under 30 minutes!

  1. Susan gave me this recipe after I said I can not cook. It is easier than easy to do and comes out great! If I can do it anyone can! Just shows even I can cook a delicious healthy meal with a little help from Simply Sundays!

  2. Looks simply delicious! I love pasta & I love anything that can be cooked in one pot! Bravo!
