Irish Coffee

So there are a lot of stories surrounding the origin of the infamous Irish Coffee

Of course one would surmise that originally it started, well, in Ireland

Though this may be true no one seems to able to nail down a specific who or were (though there are plenty of rumors)

Now when I was in San Francisco many years ago I had my first Irish Coffee at a place called the Buena Vista Cafe, which claimed to be the originator of the drink in the United States

Thats correct

The Buena Vista

Sounds Irish to me ??

Well the story goes that a traveling writer had the drink abroad and worked with the cafe’s owners to make it a staple around 1952

And they are still cranking them out today

Well, enough of the history lesson, whether you believe it or not

Anyway you cut it this is just a tasty beverage to warm you up on a cold winter’s night

We will need 6 ounces of strong black coffee, 2 ounces of Irish Whiskey, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and some whipped cream
