A traditional Moscow Mule with a tart cranberry juice twist! This refreshing drink is sure to make your holiday gathering festive!
The measurements we have here are for two servings so if you’re having a crowd, just do the math
Measure out 8 ounces of cranberry juice, 4 ounces of vodka, 2 tablespoons of fresh lime and ginger beer to top off each drink
Fill frozen copper mugs (Moscow Mule tradition) with ice and divide the cranberry, vodka and lime juice. Give a stir
Why is it called a Moscow mule and is the copper cup really necessary??
Word on the street is that the drink is named after the city Moscow in Russia because it is associated with vodka, which is the alcohol in this version of the cocktail. And it is said that the “mule” comes in to play because of the kick you get from the ginger beer. Sounds legit to me!
And yes, the copper cup really makes this drink as icy cold as it can be which is the best way to enjoy it.
Fill the rest of the way with ginger beer and serve garnished with lime wedges and frozen fresh cranberries
