White Pear Cosmo

For my birthday this year, my husband took me out for lunch to one of our favorite restaurants.  We ordered the usual fried calamari appetizer (the best!) and a gourmet brick oven pizza.  Because it was my birthday, we decided to start the celebrating early and order a cocktail.  Day drinking!  Yay!

The first drink on the menu was a White Pear Cosmo.  Ok, let’s give it a shot.  (pun intended)

The taste of fresh pears with a hint of sweetness from cranberry juice and a spike of flavor from the orange liquor immediately made this my new favorite cocktail

Not gonna lie, we enjoyed our lunch and stopped at the liquor store on the way home to buy the ingredients

I’ve made it two (or 3 or 4) times to make sure I got it right, and I’m happy to pat myself on the back for a job well done.  Drink-ology is a science that must be perfected, right??

To a cocktail shaker filled with crushed ice, add 2 ounces of Grey Goose Le Poire Vodka (pear flavored), 1 ounce of triple sec, 2 ounces of white cranberry juice and a squeeze of fresh lime juice

Shake it, shake it, shake it!

Pour into a martini glass, garnish with a wedge of fresh pear and make another for your day drinking buddy who’s anxiously waiting for a tasty cocktail
