This is a great copycat recipe from Good Seasons Italian Seasonings packets. I prefer to blend up my own spice mixes so I know exactly what’s in them
Measure out 2 tablespoons of oregano, 1 tablespoon each of garlic powder, onion powder parsley and sugar, 1 1/2 tablespoons of kosher salt, 1 teaspoon each of black pepper and basil & a 1/2 teaspoon of thyme
I like to measure them out on a sheet of parchment or waxed paper so I can easily funnel them into my spice grinder
I’m using the spice grinder attachment for my Ninja Blender, but you can use a mini food processor or blender if you wish.
Quite honestly, you don’t have to blend the spices, I just feel they mix more evenly that way
Pour them all into the grinder and give it a whirl kid! (Ok, too much baseball going on around here lately…)
Pour into a small spice jar and keep in a cool, dry place for up to 6 weeks
I always reuse the glass spice jars that I purchase at the grocery store for any of the spice blends that I make. I can hear my husband whispering “pack rat” right now…
This is great to use in dressings, dips or just to season your favorite proteins or veggies!
Enjoy!
