Now this may be my wife’s favorite “Fancy” drink
You know the one you save for that special night out
The best part is how specific she is on what she wants in her Dirty Martini and I especially love when I’m the one to order it
Bartender: “May I help you sir?”
Me: “A dry vodka martini, with 3 olives, lemon zest and can you make it dirty?”
Bartender: “Can you repeat that?”
Honestly though, it’s not all that bad when you get the hang of the lingo
Dry refers to dry white (clear) Vermouth and dirty means a splash of the olive juice
I like to start by filling my martini glasses with crushed ice
Next up is 3 ounces of vodka (I used 3 because our martini glasses are large), 1 tablespoon of dry Vermouth and 2 teaspoons of olive juice
Pour the Vodka and Vermouth in to a shaker filled 3/4 of the way with crushed ice and let it sit for a minute or 2
Next we will need 3 olives for each drink and lemon zest
Dump your ice from the glass, add in 3 olives, lemon zest and 2 teaspoons of the olive juice
Cover and vigorously shake your Vodka and Vermouth
Pour into your glass, then repeat for a second drink
Happy Friday!
Cheers!!!
