A highball glass filled with a fuzzy navel cocktail, garnished with orange zest next to a fresh peach and peach slices

Fuzzy Navel

One of my friends reminded me about the old school cocktail called the Fuzzy Navel

I totally remember those!  Sweet orange juice with a hint of peach schnapps.  Yum!

Let’s bring Fuzzy Navels back!

Why is it called a Fuzzy Navel?

I’ve read quite a few explanations of why this drink is called a Fuzzy Navel.  Some were a little outlandish

What makes sense to me is that it’s called “fuzzy” because of the downy soft skin of a peach.  And navel simply refers to the type of orange, called a navel.  Let’s ignore the belly button references and get mixing

This is an easy drink to make… all you need is 6 ounces of orange juice and 2 ounces of peach schnapps per cocktail

Fill a highball glass with ice, pour in the schnapps and oj & give a quick stir

Garnish with an orange twist and serve
