Rosemary and butter crusted strip steaks in a large cast iron pan

Pan Seared Strip Steaks

If a steak is cooked properly,  it won’t need much to taste delicious

This is a simple “you can’t go wrong” recipe

Preheat your oven to 350 F

We are going to start with 4 bone-in strip steaks

I prefer bone-in for more flavor but you can use boneless as well

Sprinkle each steak with kosher salt and ground black pepper

Add 2 tablespoons of butter and olive oil to an oven proof pan over medium high heat

You want the butter to be very hot and bubbling

Get the steaks into the pan seasoned side down

Sprinkle the other side with some more kosher salt and ground black pepper

Sear these for 4 minutes

Flip and sprinkle with some fresh rosemary

Place them into the oven and cook for 8-10 minutes depending on the thickness of the steak

You want the steaks at around 150 F for medium (remember they will cook more as they sit)

Remove from the oven and let them rest at least 10 minutes to reabsorb their juices

Serve these with… well, just about any favorite side!!
