Hi, everyone it’s Marin here, guest writing on my parents blog!
This is a recipe I love to make when my friends sleep over
The great thing about this recipe is you have an all in one hand held breakfast that is pretty simple to make
I mean what’s better then breakfast sausages and crescent rolls?
How about eating them together!
I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we do!
We will need one tube of crescent rolls, a package of breakfast sausage, maple syrup and poppy seeds
Let’s cook the sausage first
Add them to a pan over medium heat
Brown the sausages on all sides and cook for 10-12 minutes
You can add a little water to the pan to get a steaming effect which will speed up the cooking process
Once they are cooked remove them to a paper towel lined bowl and set aside
Preheat your oven to 375 F
Next we will need the package of crescent rolls
Peel off the wrapper & lay out the sheet of crescent dough
Pillsbury made things easy by perforating the dough into triangles for us
How thoughtful of them
Separate the triangles
Place a triangle on a sheet pan
Lay a sausage down on the wider side
Gently roll from the wide side to the pointy side
Repeat with the rest
Awww… all nice and snuggled
Brush each roll with maple syrup
Sprinkle each one with some poppy seeds
Place them in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown
Piggies in a blanket have nothing on these!
In fact, if I were you I would eat a couple before serving them since they’ll be gone in a flash!
Enjoy!!!
