New Year’s Eve starters

We’re probably not alone in wanting to say adios to 2020

It was a tough year for many and we faced challenges we never would have dreamed to see in our lifetime.  Well, we endured and are ready to head into 2021

Our New Year’s Eve will look a little different this year, as many of yours will as well

Our family of 4 plans to make a bunch of our favorite snacks, put on comfy PJ’s, pour a glass or two of bubbly and watch some movies.  Together

If that’s the one thing that we learned this year, is the importance and necessity of being together.  We miss our friends and family that we haven’t been able to see for months but are looking forward to the other side of this pandemic to getting back to “normal”

Let’s think “Forward”

We’d like to share what’s on our menu for this New Year’s Eve and raise a glass to each and every one of you who supported us this past year and found some kind of solace in the recipes that we love and share.  If it weren’t for you, there would be no looking forward

Let’s start with one of our favorites.  Sausage & Pepper Poppers

Spicy Italian sausage, creamy cheeses and mini sweet bell peppers make a deliciously perfect bite!

Sausage & Pepper Poppers

Mini yellow, red and orage bell peppers stuffed with sausage and cheese baked until browned and bubbly

Sweet & Sour Meatballs are one of our long time family favorites.  So easy to make ahead of time and keep warm in a slow cooker.  Tender baked meatballs simmered in a tangy sweet and sour sauce

Sweet & Sour Meatballs

Two meatballs in a white plate with a reddish brown sweet and sour sauce with fancy bamboo tooth picks sticking out of the meatballs with a white bowl in the background filled with more sweet and sour meatballs on a green place mat

Creamy melted brie combined with the intense sweet-tart flavor of sun-dried tomatoes nestled in earthy mushrooms make this appetizer New Year’s Eve worthy

Brie & Sun-dried Tomato Stuffed Mushrooms

And these little squares of delight make an appearance at every holiday or party in our house.  Mild, nutty swiss cheese squares baked until bubbly & golden brown

Have a safe and Happy New Year everyone!  Cheers to 2021!
