I’d like to think of myself as a blue cheese dressing aficionado
After trying out many variations, I’ve come to the conclusion that this is really the best Blue Cheese Dressing… EVER!
It’s creamy, a little tangy, thick & chunky. What else could you ask for?
My son Mike is my blue cheese buddy. The two of us look for any excuse to put blue cheese on our food
Make it into a salad dressing and our options increase… exponentially
The cast of characters are:
1/2 cup of sour cream, 1/2 cup mayo, 2 tablespoons milk, one tablespoon fresh lemon juice, one teaspoon red wine vinegar, 1 teaspoon each kosher salt, black pepper & garlic powder and 5 oz. crumbled blue cheese
Combine all ingredients except the blue cheese in a wide mouth mason jar and shake!!
Spoon in your blue cheese crumbles and stir
We like our blue cheese dressing chunky, so that’s why I choose to add the crumbles in separately.
Overly mixing will break the crumbles down and not keep them in their “chunky” state
I believe James Bond would call that.. stirred, not shaken??
It’s a given to introduce this deliciously chunky & creamy dressing to salads, but feel free to dunk your favorite veggies, crackers, chicken wings, pretzels, breadsticks… or just eat it right off the spoon.
Ahem… not that I’ve ever done that…
Store in your fridge for up to a week… if it lasts that long.
