Oven Baked Parmesan fries

One of our friends said that we should blog some “trendy” recipes that are popular right now in restaurants

You’re hard pressed to pick up a menu and not see Parmesan Cheese fries

Try out this baked version you can easily make yourself at home

Let’s start by preheating the oven to 400 degrees

I used unpeeled red potatoes.  To save time, yeah, that’s it

Slice 4 pounds of potatoes lengthwise and then into matchsticks

That’s a lot of matchstick potatoes!  Blot them dry with paper towels to remove the excess water

We want flavor stuck to these fries, not water

Divide the potatoes evenly between three sheet pans and drizzle each with 2 tablespoons olive oil.  You want the fries to lay as flat as possible

Distribute the kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, fresh thyme and Parmesan cheese evenly over each tray of potatoes

Pop the trays into the 400 degree oven

Bake for 30 minutes and then flip the fries over in the pan &  bake about 10 minutes more or until crispy

Crispy, cheesy and oh, so tasty!

Restaurant fries in your own kitchen!

These are good enough to eat all by themselves, but you can serve them as a side to your favorite meal

We paired these cheesy fries with Grandma MeMar’s Chicken Cutlets and a side salad with Simply the Best Blue Cheese Dressing

So good and love the seasoning…on a seasong side note: DO follow the amount of seasoning the recipe calls for…I got froggy and decided to “put a little extra on” the first time around…Yeahhhh there’s a reason these guys have a food blog, they really know their stuff! 🙂
