Yep
I know
I hear what your’re saying
French fries… need to be fried
I get it
However I’m going to make some oven fries here that will not only be crispy and crunchy, they will be absolutely delicious
I think we may even make a believer out of you!
Best part?
They are pretty easy to make
Preheat your oven to 375 F
We are starting off with around 3 pounds of red potatoes
Leave the skins on but give them a wash and remove any eyes or dark spots
Cut them in half, then quarters, then slice 3-4 fries per quarter
Add them to a large mixing bowl
Next we will need extra virgin olive oil, 1 tablespoon of paprika, 1 tablespoon of chili powder, 2 teaspoons each of kosher salt, ground black pepper, garlic powder and onion powder
We will also need a couple fresh sprigs of rosemary
Drizzle the potatoes with 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil
Then add in the seasonings
Remove the leaves from the rosemary and add to the potatoes (discard the stems)
Using your hands mix the potatoes and seasonings together
Spread them out on a sheet pan
If you have overflow place them on another pan
You don’t want to overcrowd them to much
Place them into the oven and cook 30-35 minutes flipping occasionally
Once the potatoes are cooked through raise the oven temp to 425 F
Now it is all up to you (no pressure)
Cook them to the consistency you like
Soft and tender?
Crunchy on the outside, soft in the center?
Crunchy all the way?
The choices are yours, just keep and eye on them and you will do fine!
Serve with your favorite condiments!
Yum!!!
Enjoy!!!
