Peach Lemonade

Cool off with a refreshing drink made with sweet, ripe Summer peaches mixed with the tartness of fresh lemons

Nothing quenches your thirst better than a tall glass of chilled peach lemonade

Oh, so refreshing!

To start, we’ll need to make a simple syrup.  Not just any simple syrup… peach infused!

Measure out a cup each of white sugar and water.  I’m using two ripe and juicy peaches, that I’ve pitted and cut into a large dice.  I leave the skins on

Place the sugar, water and peaches in a small pot

Bring to a boil then lower heat to a simmer for about 10-12 minutes until the sugar is dissolved and the peaches are soft

Remove from heat and let cool for about an hour

Strain through a fine sieve, pressing down on the peaches to get all of the delicious juice

You can do this step ahead of time and chill the peach syrup

Juice one or two lemons to get 1/2 cup of fresh juice

Pour lemon juice through strainer into a glass pitcher.  I also like to strain the peach syrup again

We’re no pulp people

Add in 4-5 cups of chilled water.  I add 5 because I like it a little less sweet so it depends upon your preference
