White Russian Frappuccino
So… I felt like something Kahlua-like and thought a White Russian would be tasty
But it’s hot out so it needs to be super chilled. Maybe I should blend it with ice
Or… maybe I should blend it with coffee ice cubes! Yessss!!!!!
I typically save any leftover coffee we have and freeze it in an ice cube tray for iced coffees. But let me tell you… this application is WAY better
I’ve changed the White Russian ingredients a bit too… as usual, you’ll need Kahlua and vodka, but instead of milk or cream, I’m using vanilla almond milk. It gives a nice flavor
For each drink, measure out 2 ounces each of vodka and Kahlua, 4 ounces of vanilla almond milk and 4-5 coffee ice cubes
You can also use plain ice and add in about a 1/2 cup of chilled strong coffee or espresso
Blend ingredients and serve immediately
Enjoy!

Chocolate Egg Cream
So my Husband is from Brooklyn, NY and tells me of childhood memories of going to the soda shop or “soda fountain” to get a chocolate egg cream
I, on the other hand was born and raised in Upstate NY and had never heard of an egg cream. Does it have eggs in it???
Nope. No eggs.
Just icy cold milk, a spritz of bubbly seltzer and apparently the only chocolate syrup that real New Yorkers would even consider putting in their egg creams
U-bet. No really, that’s what it’s called
So I planned to make this drink with the normal chocolate syrup that we always have in our fridge when another friend told me that authentic egg creams are only made with U-bet chocolate syrup
Enter Amazon.com. Of course they had it
Enough chit chat, I’m thirsty
Squirt 2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup (preferably U-Bet, but we’ve gone over that) and add 6 ounces of icy cold milk. Stir well
Top with chilled seltzer and experience the nostalgia of an old school soda shop!
Cheers!

Hawaiian Mimosas
Make any get together feel like a party on the Islands!
The tropical flavors of pineapple, coconut and sweet cherry topped off with bubbly champagne!
Usually we make cocktails by the glass but this recipe is so party-like that I’ve made it in a pitcher
Measure out 2 cups of pineapple juice, one cup of malibu rum, 1/4 cup of grenadine and a 750ml bottle of your favorite Champagne or Prosecco
Pour the juice, rum and grenadine over ice in a pitcher and give a stir. Add in a bottle of bubbly, top champagne glasses with a maraschino cherry, pour and channel your inner island!
Cheers!
