Two glasses of Aperol Spritz Cocktails garnished with orange wheels on a colorful napkin

Aperol Spritz Cocktail

An Aperol Spritz is a light, refreshing & bubbly cocktail that has a bitterness from the Aperol and is orange forward.  Crisp Prosecco makes this a perfectly light cocktail for brunch or for relaxing by the pool

What is Aperol?

Aperol is a classic Italian aperitif and the main ingredient in one of Italy’s most popular cocktail, the Aperol Spritz

Bright orange in color, its unique bittersweet taste is derived from sweet and bitter oranges, herbs and roots

I love anything orange flavored and I especially love bitter flavors.  Just ask my husband.  lol

I saw a celebrity chef make an Aperol Spritz while I was binge watching cooking shows and knew I had to track this liqueur down.  I mixed up a couple for a Friday night happy hour and was hooked!

Let’s get mixing!

What we’ll need is 3 ounces of Prosecco, 2 ounces of Aperol & 1 ounce of plain seltzer per cocktail
